Road to Post-Secondary Education Resource Fair

Welcome to 4C For Children’s Virtual Post-Secondary Education Resource Fair!

In 2019, our idea for this event came to be because we wanted to connect early childhood professionals with all of the great resources in our community regarding post-secondary education. With the continued uncertainty of the pandemic, we decided to host a virtual resource fair this year, so that early childhood professionals have a one-stop shop for learning about their options in continuing education.

The goal of our event is to:

Shine a light on all of the esteemed educational institutions in our area that offer early childhood programming
Give early childhood professionals the information and resources to connect with educational institutes
Understand the educational requirements outlined in the YoungStar program and understand how to meet those requirements through continuing education

We hope that you will visit the websites of our participating institutions, read available brochures, watch posted videos, and contact schools that interest you to start working on your education goals.

The Registry is a non-profit organization that recognizes the achievements of Wisconsin’s Early Childhood Care and After-School Education workforce, promotes professional growth, and contributes to workforce data and research.

Our K-9 Program, offered through Lakeland’s William R. Kellett School, is ideal for students who have completed the Foundations of Teacher Education Program through one of the technical colleges in the Wisconsin Technical College System.

The Early Childhood Education associate degree program at Moraine Park prepares students to work as teachers and caregivers in two years. For students in the Early Childhood Education program, no day will be alike. Students in the program balance both academic coursework and practical experience, gaining hands-on experience at local child care centers. Students gain practice guiding child behavior and working cooperatively with staff and parents. This program has daytime courses offered at our Fond du Lac campus and evening courses offered at our West Bend campus, with some courses available online.
